The theme of this year’s conference is “Tell Your District’s Story.” Using ArcGIS in your planning opens up a whole new world of data and analytics that was not available to you before.

As you begin to gather new data, create maps, find patterns, and analyze enrollment you are creating information.  Information is data where context and meaning have been added to allow for analysis. Once you begin to really analyze using GIS tools, you will see things no one has ever known about your district. You are truly making new discoveries.

You are learning about your district. You are learning about the students and their families that make up the district. There are stories to tell in that information.

These are the stories that begin to show you what is truly happening in your district. These are the stories that impact district policy and planning.

GIS is your story telling vehicle. Come learn to use it to benefit the families that make up your school district.
